GINCO is certified ISO 9001:2000 (2005-07-20)

Quality is an essential ingredient in building modern microbial culture collections. Not only the accession, control, preservation, storage and supply of biological material in the frame of public deposits, safe deposits and patent deposits, need to be of high quality, but potential customers also need to have assurance that this biological material will be of high quality.

Organisations that have implemented an ISO 9001:2000 quality management system have found that it is becoming a vital part of their business strategy.

Since June 2005, GINCO hosted at the Mycothèque de l?Université catholique de Louvain (BCCM/MUCL - GINCO-BEL) is certified according to the standard ISO 9001:2000 by SGS Systems & Services Certification for the following processes
- the accession of AM fungi
- the preservation and storage of AM fungi
- the supply of in vitro AM fungal strains

To provide you with the highest quality standards services, the accession, preservation, storage, and supply of AM fungi are controlled at each step for ?viability?, ?purity? and ?identity? (VPI).

For any information relative to the processes described above, do not hesitate to contact me.
