Strain packaging

Strains are provided in vials containing spores embedded in the growth medium (see figure below). The amounts of spores provided is variable according to the strain in culture. However, amount delivered allows initiation of 3 to 5 new in vitro cultures.

Long-term preservation

Vials containing spores should be stored at 4°C until use (avoid freezing). However, to avoid any risk of contamination or loss of viability of the inoculum, we suggest to sub-culture shortly after the inoculum is received.
